  • We are pleased to announce that ISAMS 2012 will convene on the 5-7th October 2012 at the University of Technology, Sydney. ISAMS (International Scientific Acupuncture and Meridian Symposium) is an international conference that aims to showcase the “cutting edge” of acupuncture research and is an event not to be missed!
  • In 2011 it was convened at the University of California (Irvine) and focused on cardiovascular and pain research. This year the theme is “Moving Acupuncture Research Forward - Issues and Solutions” and there will be several themed streams highlighting the different methods and approaches associated with acupuncture research. These streams include clinical, mechanistic, public health, integrative and qualitative research. Presenters from Korea, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, USA, UK, Norway and Sweden as well as several notable local speakers will present their views on how to increase and broaden the evidence base for acupuncture as well as highlight their recent research.
  • In addition the seven winners of the 2012 AMS awards (Acupuncture and Meridian Studies) will be presenting their award winning papers. Delegates are also invited to submit an abstract for an oral presentation or a scientific poster (five poster awards which total $1500 USD).
  • Hosted by the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) the conference is in the heart of Sydney conveniently located close to the major tourist sites and major hotels. It is also adjacent to the major travel hub of Central railway station and only 15 minutes from the international airport.
